Dr. Erin Brennand is a physician, researcher, and leader in female reproductive health. As Calgary's first woman Department Head of Obstetrics & Gynecology, she has transformed women's health services, research, and workforce planning. Her internationally recognized research advances reproductive and pelvic health, while her leadership builds stronger systems for women in Alberta.

Dr. Unjali Malhotra: In her over 20-year career, she has served as the inaugural women's health officer at the First Nations Health Authority, co-founded and was Program Director of the UBC R3 Women's Health Program, and was the Medical Director of Options for Sexual Health overseeing 60 clinics. She has been recognized as one of Canada's Top 50 under 50 Inspiring Indo-Canadians. Her pioneering work on consent earned her the King Charles III Coronation Medal.

At Global Affairs Canada, Jacqueline O’Neill serves as Director in the Bureau of International Security Policy and Strategic Affairs. Previously, she spent nearly six years as the Government of Canada’s first Ambassador for Women, Peace and Security.

Ms. O’Neill’s experience outside of government includes serving as President of the Institute for Inclusive Security based in Washington, DC, and working at the UN peacekeeping mission in Sudan and at Khartoum’s Ahfad

University for Women. Along with former Lt. General Roméo Dallaire, she helped found the Roméo Dallaire Child Soldiers Initiative.

Ms. O’Neill was a Global Fellow at the Woodrow Wilson Center’s Canada Institute, an Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University, and a member of the board of directors of the Canadian International Council. In 2023, she received the Vimy Award, presented annually by the CDA Institute to a Canadian who has made a significant contribution to the defence and security of Canada and its democratic values.

She has a bachelor’s degree in commerce from the University of Alberta and a master’s in public policy from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government.

Dr. Joss Reimer is Canada’s Chief Public Health Officer (CPHO), the federal government's lead public health professional. She is past president of the Canadian Medical Association and former Chief Medical Officer for the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. She has expertise in health communications, health equity, sexually transmitted and bloodborne infections and immunization. Voted Humanitarian of the Year by Doctors Manitoba, she is passionate about physician wellness and public health. She completed medical training at the University of Manitoba and McMaster University, training several years in obstetrics and gynecology before finishing a public health specialty.

Natalie Scime is a final-year medical student and PhD epidemiologist at the University of Calgary focused on women’s health and equity. A former Banting Post-Doctoral Fellow, she founded the Calgary Women’s Health Research Symposium and has over 50 peer-reviewed publications with frequent interdisciplinary collaboration. She is a dedicated mentor to female trainees and Board Director for the university’s Childcare Centre, championing supportive environments for women to thrive.
