Kerri Ryan, MRT(R), CICĀ®, AL-CIP, is a senior Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) leader with over 15 years of experience spanning acute care hospitals and long-term care systems in Ontario. She currently holds a regional IPAC leadership role, overseeing multisite programs with a focus on surveillance and data analysis, outbreak prevention and management, construction-related infection control, policy development, and regulatory compliance. With Certification in Infection Control (CICĀ®) and Advanced Leadership Certification in Infection Prevention (AL-CIP), Kerri brings both clinical depth and strategic leadership to her work. Her background as a Medical Radiation Technologist provides a strong foundation in patient-care environments and interdisciplinary collaboration. She has supported organizations through complex outbreaks, large-scale system change, and evolving regulatory landscapes, working closely with Public Health Units, Ministry partners, senior leadership teams, and frontline staff. Kerri is known for her practical, compassionate approach to IPAC, translating evidence-based guidance into meaningful, real-world practice. She is passionate about mentoring IPAC professionals, strengthening safety culture, and bridging infection prevention with quality, dignity, and person-centred care.
