As Ontario’s medical regulator, CPSO is responsible for licensing and regulating physicians and physician assistants, setting professional expectations, and addressing and investigating public complaints and concerns. Like all regulatory health colleges in Ontario, CPSO operates under the authority of the Regulated Health Professions Act, 1991 (RHPA).
