Darlene is the Director of Professional Conduct for the CDSA and leads a team of 10 employees in the Professional Conduct Department. She is passionate about fair process and therefore has spent the last 3 years identifying and implementing initiatives that have improved the Department’s ability to provide excellent customer service to both the public and the profession.

She is a lawyer with extensive experience leading large investigative teams and has represented organizations responsible for investigating and prosecuting allegations of unprofessional conduct; she also has represented individuals in their defence against allegations of misconduct. She has a unique understanding of the impact a complaint and the ensuing process can have on the public as well as the profession and therefore has led several changes that have reduced the time to conclude professional conduct complaints.
