Dr. Rau has been in private practice as a community based ID physician in Halton and Peel Region for almost 30 years. He has been the medical director of IPAC for Halton Healthcare in Oakville Ontario since 2003, and the Medical Microbiologist since 2008. He is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Toronto. He served as the Infectious Disease expert for Bell Media from 2005 to 2020 and has had numerous appearances on various media platforms in French and English over the years. He is the recipient of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal. His hobbies include tennis, piano, and learning more foreign languages. He is an avid supporter of the Philpott Tennis Charity.
