Megan DiGiorgio is an infection preventionist and Senior Clinical Manager at GOJO Industries, where she has led clinical strategy and education initiatives since 2013. With over 15 years of experience in infection prevention and a background in pediatric nursing, Megan brings deep clinical insight and a passion for advancing healthcare safety. She holds both a Bachelor and Master of Science in Nursing from Case Western Reserve University and is certified in infection control (CIC). Megan was honored with the Gina Pugliese Award by the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America (SHEA) in 2012 for her leadership in developing a modified surveillance definition of CLABSI for patients with hematologic malignancies, forming the basis of CDC’s mucosal barrier injury laboratory confirmed bloodstream infection (MBI-LCBI). In 2016, she was named an inaugural Fellow of the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (FAPIC).
