Saumya Jayakumar is a hepatologist at the University of Alberta. She did her hepatology fellowship at the UofA, followed by a MASLD research fellowship at the University of Virginia. She has worked at the University of Calgary, UCSD, and UBC. She has an interest in transplant, MASLD, and pregnancy and liver disease. She developed MASLD clinics in Calgary, and Pregnancy/Liver Disease clinics at both UCSD and the University of Alberta. She has an interest in education, and is now the incoming Program Director for the GI program at the University of Alberta.
