Dr. Brendan Halloran is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Alberta. He completed his medical school (2005), internal medicine residency and subspecialty residency in gastroenterology (2010) through the University of Alberta. His fellowship training was undertaken at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam, Netherlands, studying small bowel endoscopy, and Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, California, completing an Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) fellowship with Dr. Stephan Targan and his IBD team in 2012.
Dr. Halloran is the Program Director for gastroenterology training program at the University of Alberta and is the Director of the Small Bowel Endoscopy program for the Edmonton Zone. His clinical and research interests include small bowel endoscopy, stricture dilation in IBD and clinical pathway development in IBD care.
