Marisa is the Executive Director of Right at Home Housing Society, and is a seasoned professional known for her passion for affordable and supportive housing, especially for those that face additional challenges to securing and maintaining housing that meets their needs. She possesses a passion for contributing to her community and making Edmonton a better place to live. With over 20 years of progressive leadership experience, she is a creative, passionate, and authentic leader, well versed in bringing people together as a team, to grow and develop programs in an intentional and strategic way. Studying at the University of Victoria, Marisa obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and went on to obtain a Post Baccalaureate Degree in Criminology at Simon Fraser University, before moving to Edmonton to start her career. With a passion for lifelong learning, she went on to become a Certified Child and Youth Care worker and a Certified Housing Professional. She has built her career on working with people and believes that with the right support, education and opportunities, everyone can discover their talents and find their best selves.
