Francine Paquette is the Director of Infection Prevention Control with peopleCare Communities since 2020. Prior to joining peopleCare, she was the Team Lead of IPAC West Regional Team of Public Health Ontario, and joined PHO in 2013 as an Infection Control Consultant. Francine was a public health inspector with Oxford County Public Health, specializing in Infection Prevention and Control since 1998. She has maintained her certification in infection control since 2007 and added LTC-CIP certification in 2024.
Since 1992, Francine has been an active member of IPAC Southwestern Ontario, as its secretary from 2015, then the chapter’s President Elect, President and completing her term as past president in 2021. She is currently the Co-Chair of the 2024 IPAC Canada Scientific Committee for the 2024 National Conference in St John’s, NFL and is the Scientific Committee Chair for the 2025 National Conference in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Francine is currently a member of the Provincial Infectious Diseases Advisory Committee on Infection Prevention and Control (PIDAC-IPC).
