Alkarim is co-founder and CEO of mddl, leading efforts to deliver middle housing at scale across North America. Previously, as co-founder of RNDSQR, he delivered hundreds of middle housing developments comprising over 200 units, earning national and international recognition. Through mddl, Alkarim now works with 12 cities to build locally aligned policies that create pathways for middle housing production, deploys a proprietary GIS tool to identify development-ready lots, and builds university partnerships to train the next generation of housing leaders. He also serves as a board member of the Calgary Housing Corporation.
