Dr. Stella S. Daskalopoulou is Professor of Medicine at McGill University, Senior Scientist at the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre, and Director of the Vascular Health Unit. She is an internationally recognized hypertension specialist and a Certified Hypertension Specialist of the European Society of Hypertension.

Her research focuses on hypertension, vascular health, women's cardiovascular health, and hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, with an emphasis on improving cardiovascular risk prediction, early diagnosis, and personalized prevention strategies. Her work integrates advanced vascular phenotyping, artificial intelligence, multi-omics, and digital health technologies to advance precision cardiovascular medicine.

Under her leadership, the Hypertension Centre at the McGill University Health Centre became the first European Society of Hypertension Centre of Excellence in Hypertension in North America, recognizing excellence in patient care, research, and education.

Dr. Daskalopoulou has authored over 300 high-impact scientific publications, clinical guidelines, and invited reviews, and serves in leadership roles within several national and international scientific organizations. In recognition of her outstanding contributions to hypertension research, she received the Hypertension Canada Senior Scientist Award. Her work continues to advance innovation in hypertension, women's cardiovascular health, and the prevention of cardiovascular disease across the lifespan.
