Dr. Harvey, BMBS PhD FRACP (Australia), is Physician in Chief of the Department of Medicine at Women’s College Hospital. She is the F.M. Hill Chair in Women’s Academic Medicine, and Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine at University of Toronto with cross appointment to the Faculty of Kinesiology and Physical Education. Dr. Harvey’s clinical and research focus is on sex and gender differences in cardiovascular health and disease across the reproductive lifespan. She has a special interest in hypertension and complex blood pressure disorders, cardiac autonomic disorders including Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) and Inappropriate Sinus Tachycardia (IST) that disproportionately impact women, cardiovascular disease prevention in women through lifestyle interventions (such as exercise), and cardiovascular diseases in autoimmune and inflammatory rheumatological disorders (Cardio-Rheumatology).
